Build and own features across the Live Chat stack — React/Next.js frontend, Node/Express + MongoDB backend, and real-time Socket.IO infra.

A day in the role

  • Ship user-facing features end to end, from UI to database.
  • Keep the real-time chat infrastructure fast and reliable at scale.
  • Review code, mentor juniors, and raise the bar for quality.

What we look for

  • Solid TypeScript and React experience.
  • Comfort with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.
  • Good judgment about product and engineering tradeoffs.

Moderation Specialist

Part-time

Help keep Live Chat a welcoming place — review reports, respond to flagged content, and work with the community team.

A day in the role

  • Triage user reports within stated response times.
  • Apply ban and content policies fairly and consistently.
  • Surface trends to engineering so tooling keeps improving.

What we look for

  • Excellent written English and sound judgment.
  • Comfort working with sensitive content and clear record-keeping.
  • Reliable availability for scheduled shifts.
